ABOUT US
Feeling a bit stuck?

Need to talk to someone who isn't a family member or friend? We can offer you a safe and comfortable space to explore your inner world.

By nurturing a trusting and non-judgemental relationship, we can work together to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
So often, we find ourselves repeating the same detrimental behaviour patterns without understanding why. Once we become aware of the true motivations behind self-destructive or negative behaviour, we can make informed decisions and create the change we need and want for our life.

THERAPISTS WORKING WITH HEADSCAPE
Leana Hughes
Leana is a fully qualified counsellor with years of experience working therapeutically for the NHS in GP practices and University settings. She also takes on Employee Assistance Programme work.
Leana's experience has given her the scope to work with a breadth of issues and an age range from 18 years and older. She is a registered member to the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and works according to the standards and ethics set by the Association.
She gained a BSc (Hons) Psychology in 2008 and a MA in Clinical Counselling in 2014. She attends regular Continuing Development training for a wide range of psychological approaches.
Using the Person-Centred Approach as her core module, Leana achieves her best results when working creatively with her clients. Her approach draws on Inner child work, Transactional Analysis, Trauma-focused methods and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Above all, Leana strives to 'psycho-educate' her clients so they can acquire a better understanding of why their body and mind are responding negatively to stress and trauma.
Annie Wright
Annie is a fully qualified Counsellor with a Master's degree in Clinical Counselling and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Annie adheres to their ethical framework and engages in regular CPD which informs and supports her dynamic practice.
She has worked with adult clients through community interest projects, as well as NHS referrals in GP practices. Annie particularly valued being part of a project that supported public sector key workers post Covid-19 lockdowns. She is also experienced in working with clients online and provides therapy for clients through Employee Assistance Programmes.
The foundation of Annie’s practice is based on the Person-Centered Approach. She is warm and open and will work interactively with her clients to unpack their situation, explore their emotions, and find strategies that work for them.
She is passionate about supporting good mental health, positive well-being, and facilitating personal growth through empowering people to trust in, and be led by, themselves.

The most accessible car parks are the Little Roodee, with a short walk along Castle Drive, taking a left up St. Mary's Hill. Be aware, this route is short, but has lots of steps!

The Courts carpark is the closest, however only available from 3pm and dependant on spaces.
Cuppin Street Car park is small, but a more level walk. Pepper Street is also close.
Being in the city centre also means we are very easily accessed by public transport.
